ESPN reported Friday that two-time Pro Bowl safety Eddie Jackson has signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
Financial terms for Jackson, who played with Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey and running back Derrick Henry at Alabama, were not disclosed. Jackson would provide depth to a safety room that includes Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton.
Jackson, 30, was released by the Chicago Bears in February after seven seasons with the team, but his last two seasons were hampered by foot injuries.
Jackson had 37 tackles and an interception in 12 games (all starts) last season. He has 459 tackles, 15 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries in 100 games (all starts) since being selected by the Bears in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
A first-team All-Pro selection in 2018 and a Pro Bowl selection in 2018 and 2019, Jackson’s six defensive touchdowns tied him with Lance Briggs for third in Bears history and second only to Charles Tillman (nine) and Mike Brown (seven).
