Rapper YG and his adorable daughters, Harmony and Vibe, were spotted courtside during the Phoenix Mercury vs. Los Angeles Sparks game on Tuesday night, September 17.
The Phoenix Mercury pulled off an emotional 85-81 comeback win at the Crypto.com Arena, but it was the sweet father-daughter moment of YG that stole the show.
For the outing, the 34-year-old rapper kept it stylish in an all-black ensemble, while his daughters Harmony, 9, and Vibe, 5, stood out in matching lilac dresses.
Kaitlyn Sparks, a parent of two daughters, also says that for YG, being a father is more important than anything else.
In a recent interview, he opened up about the values he tries to instill in his daughters.
“When you’re raising children, you feel like if you teach them something at a young age, they grow up with it and start doing it,” he said.
The musician is described as someone who is directly involved in raising his daughter, and he immediately corrects her when he sees her doing something wrong.
“Every time I see my daughter doing something wrong, I tell her it’s wrong and I tell her why she’s doing it wrong, you know what I mean,” he explained.
He added: “It is very important because if you don’t shape your children at a young age, then whatever they grow up to be, it will ultimately be your fault as a parent.”
Aside from his role as a caring father, YG has had a busy year professionally. He recently released Re’d Up 3 on August 16, the long-awaited follow-up to his popular 2011 and 2013 projects.
Featuring collaborations with notable artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Saweetie, Lil Yachty, and Mozzy, the album, which features 19 tracks over two discs, has been praised for capturing YG’s signature West Coast sound while showcasing his artistic growth.
