ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — Atlanta Rapper Rich Homey QuanHis real name is Dequantes Lamar, and he died. He was 33 years old.
The Fulton County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on September 6, 2024, confirming his death.
News of his death was first reported by popular hip-hop blogger Thugger Daily, who shared the news on social media.
Today I heard the news that Rich Homie Quan died from an overdose.
I hope that’s not true.

TMZ later released an audio recording of a 911 call in which Lamar’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, reportedly said she found Lamar’s body on the couch.
Lamar first rose to prominence in the Atlanta trap scene in 2011 and achieved mainstream success two years later with the release of “Type of Way.”
He had hits like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)”, which peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015.
The following year, he sued his label Think It’s A Game for not paying royalties, but eventually reached an out-of-court settlement.
His most recent music came in 2022 with the release of the EP Family & Mula via his own label Rich Homie Entertainment.
