Claudio Ranieri pointed out Roma’s shortcomings in his post-match press conference after the team lost 1-0 to Napoli.
Among other things, the coach discussed Lorenzo Pellegrini’s struggles.
“We have to help him recover,” Ranieri said. “He is going through difficult times.”
“In complicated moments like this, we need to help him. He has great qualities.”
“Soule? “We had to open up the opposing defense and not shut them down.”
“I worked all week to open up Napoli and get the ball into space, and that’s where the opportunities for goals came from. By taking the team back to a 4-4-2, I wanted to expand the width of the team and provide good crosses for Dovbyk.”
“If you look at how many saves the goalkeeper made while they were crushing each other…
“How was Naples last year? Unfortunately, it’s a team sport and when players become depressed, the problem gets worse. “We are on the right track and we must stick to it.”
“The goals we gave up were due to a lack of concentration, so we need to be more focused. “We must work hard and improve, but we must not give up.”
