Donald Trump has barely been president-elect for 24 hours, and his deplorable supporters are already starting to show their natural whiteness.
A report from The Crimson White, the University of Alabama newspaper, details the racist text messages black students have been receiving since President Trump took office. The message is:
Hello (insert name).
You have been selected to harvest cotton at the nearest farm. Please gather your belongings and be ready at 12:00 PM sharp. Our executive slaves will pick you up in a brown van. Be prepared to be searched upon entering the farm. You belong to farm group W.
The post left students fearing for their safety and angered parents. The student, Alyse McCall, did not attend class Wednesday out of fear of an attack. Her mother, Arleta McCall, expressed her anger on Facebook.
Another student, Hailey Welch, said she decided to skip class after the incident involving Trump’s bootlicker.
“They started yelling at me and using racial slurs and telling me to go back to where I came from, even though I was born here and am American,” Welch added. Enter the dormitory with your ACT card.
These hateful texts were not limited to UA or Alabama. According to 13NewsNow, in-house photographer Sam Burrell received the same message, except he was “assigned” to “Plantation Group W.”
“I have a cousin in Richmond who got the same text message, and I found it odd that my text message had his group number and a different group number, and they both had our names on them,” Burwell said.
State Attorney General Jason Miyares was contacted about the message and released the following statement:
The Attorney General’s Office is aware of these text messages and unequivocally condemns them. Anyone who believes they are being threatened should not hesitate to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (or 1-800-225-5324) or visit FBI.gov/tips to contact local law enforcement and local FBI field officials. You must contact the office.
There will be difficult days ahead. These types of people will attempt to steal your sanity, safety, and peace of mind. Make a conscious effort to maintain your fears and anger in the face of them.
