About PS5 Pro
The PS5 Pro is a mid-generation console refresh that delivers higher fidelity graphics at smoother frame rates. The console features an upgraded GPU that offers more compute units, faster memory, and faster gameplay rendering. The PS5 Pro features advanced ray tracing, casting double, and sometimes triple, the rays that the current PS5 console can cast. The console also features AI-based upscaling via PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).
Additionally, PS5 Pro Game Boost provides backward compatibility for 8,500 PS4 and PS5 games, helping to stabilize or improve performance and enhance image quality for many existing titles. Before you pre-order your PS5 Pro, check out which games will be tagged with PS5 Pro Enhanced here.
Additionally, the PS5 Pro is the same height and width as the current PS5 model and is sold as a discless console. However, players can add an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, just like the slim model. The box includes a PS5 Pro console with 2TB of SSD storage, a DualSense wireless controller, and Astro’s Playroom pre-installed.
