On the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, anti-Israel protesters were observed shouting profanities at police officers and telling them to quit their jobs.
One protester stood in front of others and shouted, “Fuck you!” at a wall of Chicago police officers standing opposite him outside the building that houses the Israeli consulate.
“You don’t care about the city of Chicago, you don’t care about the people behind me, you don’t care about the people of this city!” a protester shouted at police.
“Fuck each and every one of you until you quit your jobs,” the protester added.

Some protesters carried Palestinian flags, while many wore black and had their faces covered.
Police later warned protesters that they would be detained if they did not disperse from the area.
Protesters were heard chanting, “Let’s go!” as police marched toward the crowd and detained several people.
Police were seen confiscating loudspeakers and tying cable ties to at least five people.
A police officer was seen removing a protester’s hooded jacket from his head after detaining him.

During Tuesday’s protest, protesters also burned American flags and chanted, “Free Palestine.”
A large police presence was still present after the protests began.

Israel supporters, including relatives of those held hostage by Hamas, gathered earlier in the day at a pro-Israel art installation not far from the consulate to urge U.S. leaders to continue supporting Israel and free the hostages.
