Tom Horman, President-elect Donald Trump’s next “border czar,” told The Washington Post that under the incoming administration, immigration authorities will begin putting families with children back into detention centers, something the Biden administration stopped doing in 2021. It’s a policy. He also said some of the children were undocumented immigrants who were born in the U.S. and became citizens who could not be deported. Mr Homan said it was the parents’ choice whether to allow the family to separate.
