A new poll shows that a majority of Americans support the way President-elect Donald Trump is handling the presidential transition.
New polling data from Gallup shows 51% of Americans support President Trump’s handling of the transition.
The latest numbers are slightly better than Trump’s first transition, with 48% of those surveyed supporting his handling of the transition.
Trump’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20, but he has already been busy reacting to world events, nominating his Cabinet candidates and making policy plans.

The support comes despite Trump’s nominations for some controversial Cabinet positions. That includes former Rep. Matt Gaetz, who later resigned as attorney general and faced numerous sexual harassment allegations.
Specifically, regarding cabinet nominations, 45% of Americans evaluated Trump’s nominations negatively, 36% evaluated them favorably, and 16% evaluated them as ‘neutral’.
Trump won both the popular vote and a significant victory in the Electoral College, but he remains divisive among his fierce opponents.
Gallup said, “Trump’s current transition rating is still significantly lower than the ratings of other recent presidents-elect.” “Every incoming president since Bill Clinton has had a transition approval rating of at least 61%, with approval ratings at least 30% higher than disapproval ratings.”
Gallup conducted the survey from December 2-18.
Meanwhile, in a recent Gallup poll, show President Joe Biden’s approval rating after leaving office is 39%.
