Oh, and there’s a new 30th anniversary video from PlayStation, which may be teasing everyone who requested a Bloodborne remaster.
Perhaps no first-party PlayStation game has fans wanting a remaster more than Bloodborne. It essentially became PlayStation’s “Smash?” In every Nintendo Direct, literally every State of Play or other announcement, there’s at least one person asking for a Bloodborne remaster or remake. It’s one of my favorite games, and as someone who doesn’t really care about frame rates, I can’t blame them, as these frame rate drops can be a bit of a pain in action-focused games like Bloodborne. But will there be a remaster? Well, no, at least I don’t know one, but a new video from PlayStation thanking fans certainly implies that “persistence” could get you one (if you want to read it that way).
The small anniversary video begins with the text “If you know the story…” and transitions into other words like “love, friendship, wonder” and all sorts of things appropriate for other big PlayStation IPs like Uncharted, Shadow, and more. It fits properly. Colossus, etc. Yes, if you’re asking, “it’s about fantasy” came along with Final Fantasy 7.

However, what’s interesting about this video is that the last game shown in this video is Bloodborne, with the text “It’s about persistence.” Now, I don’t know about you, but that could be a tease that a remaster or remake is finally coming, and no one on the team took the time to ask if this could be a hint that a remake is what fans are constantly asking for. It happens. Either way, it’s pretty stupid, but I wouldn’t bet on such an announcement at all. Besides, what we really need is Bloodborne 2.
