PGL has officially announced the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) 2025 and 2026 schedule, preparing gamers for two years of intense esports action with the popular shooter. As one of the largest esports tournament organizers in the world, PGL plans to deliver the CS2 competition fans want and need.
ESL and PGL plan to take over CS2 scene
With ESL hosting most of the major esports events, it seems like many other organizations like PGL are planning to jump into the CS2 scene. The popular first-person shooter has been captivating gamers for over a decade, making it one of the most popular esports. The game also boasts one of the biggest prize pools in the industry.
PGL plans to host a variety of Tier 1 tournaments worldwide starting in 2025. Here’s the schedule for the next two years:
PGL 2025 CS2 Competition Schedule:
- PGL on FiRe Buenos Aires 2025: February 13th – 23rd – Teatro Gran Rex
- PGL Bucharest 2025: April 3rd – 13th – PGL Studio
- PGL Astana 2025: May 8th – 18th – Baris Arena
- PGL Belgrade 2025: October 23 – November 2 – Belgrade Arena
- PW CAC 2025: October 1st – 23rd – Location TBA
PGL 2026 CS2 Competition Schedule:
- PGL on FiRe Buenos Aires 2026 – February 12 – 22 – Estadio Mary Terán de Weiss
- PGL Bucharest 2026 – April 2nd – 12th – PGL Studio
- PGL Astana 2026: May 7th – 17th – Baris Arena
- PGL Belgrade 2026: August 6-16 – Belgrade Arena
- PGL of FiRe Sao Paulo: October 1st – 11th – Location TBA
- PGL Barcelona 2026: October 22 – November 1 – Venue TBA
The competitive calendar begins in February 2025, with many major tournaments set to take place in the coming years.
With most major Counter-Strike tournaments switching to CS2, causing many players to quit, it will be interesting to see how the competitive season plays out going forward.
