PBS Kids‘ Love series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is making a positive impact by teaching young viewers about the complexities of co-parenting. This series helps children understand how parents can work together to support and care for their children, even if they live in separate homes.
The hit series kicks off the new year with four new episodes, including “Jodie Sleeps Over at Daddy’s,” which premieres Jan. 6. parents.com, The episode features a new character, Jodi’s father, Mr. We will focus on Plat. Jodi sometimes stays with her dad, who lives in a different house than her mom.
“We’re really excited to bring another family dynamic to the series,” Chris Loggins, supervising producer of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, said in an exclusive interview with: parents. “In creating this episode, it was important to us to present an example of a successful co-parenting relationship. Mr. Plat will continue to be a major character on Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.”
Additionally, as part of the new episodes, viewers will also get to see other characters in the neighborhood overcome their own problems. And of course, viewers also get the chance to watch 4-year-old Daniel Tiger take on adventures and challenges of his own, which ultimately end up being valuable lessons for everyone.
“Every episode also includes a new approach to the season where a character other than Daniel appears in the B story,” Loggins explained in an interview. “This week we have episodes with Jodi, Katerina, and O, where they each get their own unique make-believe moment.”
The Emmy Award-winning series premiered in 2012 for children ages 2 to 4. The popular series gets around 40 million streams per month. What do you think is so special? According to Loggins in an interview: Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood We put children first.
“We talk to kids in that age range every episode as part of the writing process,” Loggins said. “Another secret ingredient is working with advisors who worked closely with Fred Rogers on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood to ensure that the timeless messages found in the series are updated in an age-appropriate way for new audiences. We hope kids and families will have a great time watching the new episodes together.”
