There is a high probability that you will remember the black comedy of 2018. A simple favor, Directed by bridesmaid Helmer Paul Feig.
The film featured solid performances from Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick and a twisty, quietly funny script. Critics loved it, and it grossed more than $97 million on a $20 million budget. It wasn’t too shabby.
Luckily, Paul didn’t waste any time setting the record straight. “This is total BS. Sorry,” he posted on Twitter in response to the thread (no, I’m not calling him X). “The movie is finished and will be released soon. Don’t believe what you read on social media these days.”
When a Twitter user asked Paul to “please explain clearly” why the film has not yet received a release date, the director replied: “Dude, they say it’s post-production, but it usually takes more than half a year including editing. Scoring, special effects, sound mixing, captions. and all technical quality controls must be in place.”
“Our post schedule has always been to have everything done by mid-January. The movie doesn’t come out right after it’s finished, because the studio spent time in the previous year deciding the best date to release it. We We’ve always planned something for mid-January, so hopefully this will help with how the film works this year.”
I actually hope this helps! To continue…
