Patriots Practice Squad Tracker: Latest News, Rumors and Contracts originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston.
The New England Patriots have trimmed their roster to 53 players by the 4 p.m. ET deadline on Tuesday, but the team is still working on forming its initial practice squad for the upcoming NFL season.
The Patriots announced their first seven practice squad signings Wednesday afternoon, all of whom participated in Patriots training camp this summer.
Practice teams can have up to 16 players, so expect more to be added in the coming days and weeks.
The most notable name on this list is running back Kevin Harris, who had a good training camp and played very well in the third and final preseason game against the Washington Commanders, where he caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Drake May.
Harris was one of a few surprises the team cut before trimming its roster to 53 players on Tuesday.
