Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper Ellie Harrison has joined Chester on loan, with the club set to spend the 2024/25 season.
“Manchester United goalkeeper Ellie Harrison will spend the season with Chester,” United said in an official statement.
“Harrison is likely to spend time training with the Reds at Carrington and will represent Chester while continuing his education between posts.”

Harrison joined United from Stevenage at the age of 16 and signed his first professional contract with the Red Devils in March 2023.
He signed a professional contract as soon as he turned 17, which is the fastest a young player can get a professional contract, and it is a testament to how highly he is rated at Old Trafford.
Last term, the goalkeeper was a consistent performer for the U21s and U18s.
He had impressive performances, including being named Reserve Player of the Year.
His performance was crucial as United U18s secured a win over Manchester City in the Premier League Cup.
Harrison has also featured in the FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League and EFL Trophy during the 2023/24 season.
In addition to his ability to block shots, the 18-year-old’s other strengths include his ability to handle the ball with his feet and his ability to distribute the ball – qualities that are in demand in today’s modern goalkeeper.
Harrison’s move to the Deva Stadium will hopefully provide him with valuable first-team experience and he is keen to join the United senior squad in the near future.
