In this episode, which aired 17 years ago, Homer was fired from his job as a nuclear power plant safety inspector after putting a donut in a nuclear reactor. Then, he meets his father, Mason Fairbanks, a treasure hunter, and the two enter their respective submarines and discover the wreckage of a huge sunken ship full of treasure. But the lucrative discovery turns potentially tragic when Homer becomes lost and trapped on a coral reef.
