Former Roma CEO Lina Souluco has joined Premier League club Nottingham Forest, it was announced on Monday.
Souloukou took over as the new CEO three months after leaving his position at Roma. The Greek executive sparked outrage from fans by resigning just four days after Daniele De Rossi was sacked.
Souloukou previously worked with compatriot and Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos, where she spent four years as the club’s CEO. Her role at Forest, which officially begins on January 5, will oversee the strategic development of the club, which sits fourth in the Premier League.
“We are delighted to have Lina Souloukou join our team,” said Marinakis, who owns Olympiacos and Portuguese team Rio Ave. “Her proven track record in football management and her passion and commitment align perfectly with our vision for Nottingham Forest and the wider group as we continue to strive for greater success.”
Souloukou added: “It’s an honor to rejoin Mr Marinakis’ football family. The opportunity to drive Nottingham Forest’s success and contribute to the wider group is an exciting challenge. I look forward to getting to work in the new year to achieve our goals .common ambition.”
Forrest has been without a CEO since Dane Murphy left the position in early 2023.
They are only behind Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League after their recent 2-0 win over Brentford.
