Nitish Reddy said he had been watching his idol Virat Kohli since childhood and was grateful for the moment. He spoke about the moment when Virat reached a century in Perth, while himself reaching the end of a non-striker.
Nitish Reddy said Virat Kohli came to him and said he did really well. He added that he had always dreamed of this moment. While interviewing reporters, he explained:
“It was such a great and grateful moment. I watched Virat since childhood and made him my idol. And as an adult, I finally got to play with him. He scored a hundred when I was on a non-strike. I felt I was so happy and he thanked me when I got 100 points.
“He came to me and said, ‘You did a really good job, you can get the team back in the game.’” I was so happy at that moment. “It was something I had always dreamed of, and finally talking to that person was the best moment for me.”
