Kirby: Planet Robobot, the 2016 3DS platformer from Nintendo and HAL Labs, is reportedly scheduled to release for Nintendo Switch next year.
That’s according to industry insider Nate the Hate, who has a track record of reporting breaking news before official announcements.
“One of my personal favorite games will be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2025,” they claimed. “The title is Kirby: Planet Robobot. It’s one of the best 3DS games ever released, and the type of title Nintendo can continue to use as filler for the Switch in 2025.”
Kirby: Planet Robobot is an action platformer in which Kirby utilizes a mecha suit known as the Robobot Armor to solve puzzles and battle enemies. The game received favorable reviews, praising its level design and variety.
Nintendo currently has several ports scheduled for release in 2025, including Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Xenoblade Chronicles X, as it prepares to launch its next-generation successor console and its own library of games.
Earlier this week, suppliers on Chinese e-commerce website Alibaba began selling accessories said to be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2.
It includes a Switch 2 carrying case and screen protector, and if authentic, it would confirm previous reports that Nintendo’s next console will have a larger form factor than its current console.
