Is Nikki Glaser scheduled to be cancelled?
The comic has a long history of pushing boundaries with her poignant stand-up performances.
But she worries things may finally get too much when she hosts the Golden Globe Awards tonight.
Last August, The Hollywood Reporter Nikki has revealed she will be hosting Hollywood’s most irreverent awards show.
And right away, the host assured fans that he wouldn’t take it easy on Hollywood’s best and brightest.
Nikki Glaser Announces Golden Globes Performance
“I’m so excited to be hosting the Golden Globe Awards,” Glazer said.
“It’s one of my favorite TV shows and now I get to have a front row seat (actually I think it should be hosted on stage).
“The Golden Globes are a big night not only for TV and movies, but also for comedy. “It’s one of the few times (at least I hope so) that show business not only allows for loving ridicule, but encourages it itself,” she continued.
“(God, I hope so.) It’s an exciting yet challenging performance because it’s live, unpredictable, and in front of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who might feel empty sitting next to their latest ex).”
Recently, Globes hosts have sparked more controversy than laughter.
And while Nikki clearly hopes to reverse this trend, she has no intention of playing it safe.

“Some of my favorite jokes have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues, when Tina (Fey), Amy (Poehler) or Ricky (Gervais) said the very thing we all desperately wanted to hear that we all didn’t know we were saying. “Yes.” she said in her statement.
“I want to continue that old tradition (which may lead to its cancellation).
“This is truly a dream job. Plus, you no longer have to feel guilty about all the TV shows and movies you binge-watched over the past year. It was worth it. (Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 4 will be nominated, right?)”
Sadly, below deck The franchise will probably never be nominated again.
But there’s still plenty to look forward to as one of comedy’s sharpest and most unpredictable talents prepares to take on Hollywood’s biggest stars.
As evidenced by her work at the recent Tom Brady roast, Nikki is not a reluctant fan.
So, let’s hope she doesn’t get canceled and doesn’t pull any punches with her celebrity audience.
