The event is set to kick off in the UAE on October 3, and NZC will be sending a team full of experienced and promising young talent set to make their mark on the global stage.
One of the biggest highlights New Zealand Fast bowler Rosemary Mayer returns to the women’s team. She is expected to return after suffering a back injury during the home game against England in March 2024.

New Zealand women’s cricket team captain Sophie Devine and veteran batsman Suzy Bates are all set to play in the ninth Women’s T20 World Cup.
The extensive experience and leadership of Devine and Bates, who have featured in every edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, will be key to New Zealand’s ambitions of winning the ICC title in the UAE.

Apart from the experienced core players, Kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman Easy Gaze is the only player to make his T20 World Cup debut, while New Zealand’s batting line-up will rely heavily on star all-rounder Amelia Kerr.
Known for his prowess as both a batsman and a bowler, Kerr is expected to play a key role in the middle order in the upcoming tournament.
Alongside her, the experienced Maddie Green and dependable Brooke Halladay will play a key role in the batting line-up as the White Ferns aim to make a strong showing at the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, which opens against India in Dubai on October 4.
