Jayson Tatum hit a 3-pointer in overtime to give the Boston Celtics a 126-123 victory over the visiting Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.
Tatum won with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. Jaylen Brown led Boston with 27 points.
Jakob Poeltl scored a career-high 35 points for Toronto, which fell to 0-8 on the road this season. Poeltl, who went 19-of-16 from the floor, also had 12 rebounds.
RJ Barrett added 25 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds for the Raptors, who have lost seven straight games and 11 of their last 12. Barrett’s layup tied the game with 55.3 seconds left in overtime, and Tatum connected on the game-winning shot. .
Kings 121, Jazz 117
De’Aaron Fox scored a franchise-record 60 points and finished with 49 one night after Sacramento won against visiting Utah.
Kevin Huerter added 18 points and Trey Lyles had 17 for the Kings, who sealed the win on Fox’s two free throws with 1.8 seconds left. His 109 points are the most in two games in team history.
Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 25 points. Keyonte George had 19 points, Collin Sexton had 18, Jordan Clarkson had 17 and John Collins had a total of 16.
Lakers 104, Pelicans 99
Anthony Davis had 31 points and 14 rebounds, and visiting LA beat New Orleans for its fifth straight win.
LeBron James missed his career-high fourth consecutive triple-double, but scored 21 points, including back-to-back clutch 3-pointers in the final two minutes. For the Lakers, rookie Dalton Knecht scored 27 points and Austin Reaves added 10.
Brandon Ingram had 32 points, Jaylen Nowell had 16 off the bench, Brandon Boston Jr. had 12 and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl had 10 for the Pelicans.
Hornets 115, Bucks 114
LaMelo Ball picked up the pace with a strong second half, finishing with 26 points, including two free throws with 7.3 seconds left, as Charlotte snapped a two-game skid by defeating visiting Milwaukee.
Miles Bridges scored 19 points, Josh Green had 15, Brandon Miller added 13 and Moussa Diabate came off the bench with 12 points and 14 rebounds in 25 minutes for the Hornets. Tre Mann returned after missing the game and scored 11 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double for the Bucks wasn’t enough and he missed a potentially game-winning 18-foot shot on the final possession of the game. Antetokounmpo scored 22 points on 11-for-22 shooting from the floor, along with 15 rebounds and 12 assists.
Mavericks 110, Spurs 93
Kyrie Irving and reserve Daniel Gafford each had 22 points and Dallas beat visiting San Antonio in the third quarter.
The Mavericks fell by 8 points for the 4th straight game, but continued to cruise against San Antonio. Dallas took a four-point lead at halftime and a 24-point lead in the third quarter before going all the way.
Zach Collins finished the game with a season-high 20 points for the Spurs. Sandro Mamukelashvili added 14 points, Julian Champagnie had 13 and Stephon Castle had 12. San Antonio has been down for two consecutive games.
