washington — The former speaker of the House of Representatives has been hospitalized after suffering injuries while part of a congressional delegation visiting Luxembourg, her office said Friday.
“While traveling to Luxembourg with a bipartisan congressional delegation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi suffered injuries and was hospitalized for evaluation,” spokesman Ian Cragger said in a statement. . “Speaker Pelosi is currently receiving excellent care from her doctors and medical professionals.”
The nature of the injuries was not immediately clear. Cragger said Pelosi continues to work at the hospital and “looks forward to returning to the United States soon.”
