Mitsubishi has announced Anymile, a drone-based logistics platform that will fuel the future of drones in the world. Includes backbone and logistics for drone delivery, drone services, and more.
Anymile goes beyond UTM to provide services that allow operators to manage their fleets and conduct operations. Services include:
- Delivery management
- vehicle management
- Service Management
- Manufacturer Management
The future of drone delivery as a single buzzword will depend on ground services to accommodate, maintain and stage drones and operations. Mitsubishi envisions a world where drones can be landed, charged, and maintained not only at their owner’s facilities, but also in remote locations.
While drones must return to warehouses to pick up products for delivery, emergency service drones equipped with AEDs and general first aid supplies can dock at stations near high-traffic areas.
Imagine if your local postman could deliver packages on a truck to a station in your community, then initiate automated drone deliveries to you and your neighbors. That carrier may deliver other mail for free and delivery times will be more predictable.
Anymile seeks to provide a software backbone for services like this. Customers can entrust Mitsubishi with vehicle management and delivery logistics. While the flight system remains a function managed by manufacturers and operators, customers can take advantage of Anymile’s fleet management, delivery logistics, and more.
We are very excited about the system that selected Anymile for our second CES 2023 award. Stay tuned for more news from the platform.
