A Missouri museum recently broke a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest gathering of people with underwear on their heads.
The St. Louis City Museum in Missouri wanted to celebrate ‘314 Days’ in style this year.
The museum, in line with the city’s area code of 314, hosted the event on March 14 and decided to aim for the stars by trying to achieve another Guinness World Records title.

The museum, known as “a whimsical playground created by artists,” gathered 314 people to wear underwear on their heads for one minute, Katie Enrique, the museum’s director of sales and marketing, told Fox. News Digital.
Prior to this attempt, the museum already held four Guinness World Records, including the world’s largest pencil at 76 feet long, the world’s largest seesaw at 82 feet long, the world’s largest tennis racket, and the world’s tallest man. There was.
“The City Museum also boasts of owning the world’s largest pair of underwear, famously hanging in Beatnik Bob’s Café,” she added, noting where the inspiration for this new world record attempt came from. .
“Giant underwear is an icon that guests look for during their travels, and they take tons of pictures wearing them,” she said.

Guinness World Records noted that the giant underwear on display at the museum was created by St. Louis-based artists Pat Eby and Ann Paidrick in 1996 and had a 16-foot waistband.
But panties aren’t officially the biggest thing in the world. Because the Guinness World Records title is currently held by Egypt’s Cottonil with an 82-foot belt.
The museum also hosted a traveling exhibition called ‘Guinness World Records Science’ earlier this year. Enrique explained that he explored “the science behind how people achieve Guinness World Records.”
Sure enough, on March 14, the museum officially achieved another Guinness World Records title for hosting the world’s largest gathering of people wearing underwear on their heads, with 355 participants.

With a motto of encouraging people to “explore, crawl, slide, climb, swing and get lost in museums”, Enrique said this Guinness World Records attempt was right up their alley.
“We were so thrilled with the achievement that we proudly displayed 355 pairs of Beatnik Bob’s underwear right next to the giant underwear that sparked the idea,” she said.
Since opening in 1997, the City Museum has transformed from a passion project into a destination for adventure seekers with indoor, outdoor and underground playgrounds.
