We’ll return to NYC on June 5th to work with executives to explore comprehensive ways to audit AI models for bias, performance, and ethical compliance across a variety of organizations. Find out how to attend here.
Microsoft is introducing a new version of Copilot that transforms you from a personal assistant to a virtual colleague to help teams, departments, and companies. If you’re looking for someone to handle day-to-day administrative tasks, you don’t have to worry about whether you have the budget for additional staff. Choose Copilot instead. At least this is what Microsoft suggests.
Team Copilot, available through Copilot for Microsoft 365, promises to run online meetings by managing agendas and taking notes. It can also help you keep track of what people are talking about in Teams by summarizing threads and answering questions in your group. Finally, Team Copilot tracks project progress by assigning tasks, overseeing deadlines, and notifying specific team members when feedback is requested.
Team Copilot has its advantages, but it also has its limitations. This may not be effective, especially for in-person meetings. Companies may not want to place all of their faith in effectively managing projects compared to people who are certified for the job. This new tool may anger those who worry about the impact of AI on job replacement, but Team Copilot doesn’t seem to have the same skill set as humans. Like most other AI apps, this app is designed to eliminate the tedious and tedious tasks that executive assistants handle every day.
Team Copilot will be available in preview to Microsoft customers later this year, but access will require a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.
