Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly criticized Caitlin Clark over the WNBA star’s comments implying she was the beneficiary of ‘white privilege.’
Clark’s comments were hidden from a larger Time Magazine piece after the magazine named the Indiana Fever star its 2024 Player of the Year.
The column cites many statistics that make Clark a superstar. She cites her influence off the court as a generational talent and role model. But being a liberal media outlet, it also includes comments from fellow WNBA stars suggesting Clark’s stardom was fueled in part by racism.
Among them is league MVP A’ja Wilson, who emphatically stated before the start of Clark’s rookie season that the only reason interest was focused on the Iowa girl was because she was white.
“It doesn’t matter what we all do as black women. We’re still going to get swept under the rug,” Wilson said. “That’s why my blood boils when people say it’s not about race.”

Caitlin Clark Gives Up
Of course, Wilson’s remarks were vile. But for whatever reason, Clark relented and, as Time wrote, acknowledged that she was “aware of the racial underpinnings of her stardom.”
“I’ve got everything, but I would say I have privilege as a white person,” Clark said. “A lot of the really good players in the league have been black players. This league is kind of built around them.”
“I think it’s very important that we appreciate that more, highlight it, talk about it, and make sure that brands and companies continue to invest in the players that make this league great.”
All of this while some fans are convinced Clark was targeted by Court. because she is white She has a significant percentage (17%) of the serious fouls committed in the league.

Megyn Kelly clearly felt that Caitlin Clark appeasing the ‘white privilege’ crowd was a mistake. And she expressed her displeasure by responding to his comment about X.
“Look at this.” Kelly fired back. “She’s white and she’s on her knees except to apologize for the attention.”
“Self-flagellation. ‘Oh, please pay attention to the black athletes we really want to celebrate,’ the podcast host added. “It’s humiliating. FALSE. transparent. sad.”
It’s definitely all of those things. Clark achieved his accomplishments through hard work and solid play.
The bitterness of others in the league is a clear sign of privilege, having never had to answer the question before of someone coming into the league and dominating them in every aspect of the sport.
