With his emotional and empowering new EP ‘Closure’, Matt Terry speaks candidly about his journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. After going through various trials and tribulations, the former X Factor winner is picking up the pieces and moving forward.
‘Closure’ is a powerful showcase of Matt’s incredible talents as a singer-songwriter. The five-track collection is his most personal work to date, emphasizing that struggle is a stepping stone to strength and growth.
Ahead of the EP’s release, Matt Terry recently said:I’m ready to put another music project out into the world. I am very proud of it. Most of all, it’s for my own good that I leave everything on the table and close this chapter.
I think it will ease my heartache as well as find some kind of peace with the industry that almost killed me. I feel so frustrated with the music industry in general. I wish I could showcase more talent and hope that one day we can find our way back and remember the true power of music and voice. Forget the numbers to some extent. I understand numbers are important, but find a balance.
So artists can never stop and must continue to create and tell our stories as authentically as possible. Because this planet needs us. Love always wins and the truth will set you free. Today I am relieved to say that when I looked in the mirror I saw an incredibly strong and resilient man smiling back at me. I think it’s over now.”
‘Closure’ is now available on all digital platforms. This poignant collection, which includes two new songs, features Matt’s recent singles ‘His Car’, ‘Ghost of Me’ and ‘You Don’t Know Nothing’. All five tracks feature heartfelt lyrics that strike a chord and resonate with listeners long after the music stops.
2024 has been another fantastic year for Matt Terry. With his heart open and his sleeves on, this talented singer has reached new heights and depths with his music. He continues to prove himself as one of the most talented vocalists and lyricists in the industry.
