The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul confirmed Monday that her tour will include three stops in the Golden State, including a Southern California show at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
“I am very excited to start this tour. I have amazing fans and I am so grateful for all the love and support they have given me over the years,” Blige, 53, said in a statement announcing the tour dates on Monday. “This tour is for them. I look forward to traveling to all these cities and meeting everyone. I am in a very grateful and peaceful place at this moment, and the opportunity to release my new album ‘Gratitude’ on November 15th ahead of this tour is also really special to me.”
The nine-time Grammy Award winner will begin his 27-city tour Jan. 30 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, before crisscrossing the United States. She is scheduled to play in Inglewood on March 1st, in San Francisco on March 7th, and in Sacramento on March 7th. March 8th. The tour concludes in Boston on April 14.
“This tour and album celebrate the love and gratitude Mary has for her life, her family, her friends and her beloved fans,” concert promoter Live Nation said in a statement.
Ticket sales begin Tuesday, with general sales starting Friday. Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets through the credit card’s Citi Entertainment program Wednesday through Thursday, Live Nation said.
