Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) made two very important points following the news that President Joe Biden was dropping out of his reelection bid, one of which was the clear call for him to resign.
Biden announced on Sunday that he was dropping out of the race due to unrelenting pressure from those in his own party. He later expressed his support for Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Serving as your president has been the greatest honor of my life,” Biden said in a statement posted to social media.
“While it was my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country for me to resign and focus solely on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he wrote.
One cannot help but wonder how serious it is that Biden is making such a monumental decision to withdraw at such a late date and issuing a statement on social media.
Biden said he would address the nation about his decision later this week.

Green points out that the election is not about Biden, and never has been.
Green responded to the news about X with two sharp observations: First, Donald Trump and the Republican Party have never run against the man Biden.
They have been competing with the people who actually run the country from behind the scenes. That movement must be defeated in November.
“President Trump has never competed with Joe Biden,” she wrote. “He has competed with the Democrats and the destruction of America that their policies have wrought.”
“Kamala. Michelle. Hillary. It doesn’t matter who you pick,” Green added. “2024 is about open borders versus secure borders. Globalization versus nationalism. A broken economy versus a strong economy.”
Biden is just a tool of the progressives who want to destroy our country based on this mindset.

Greene calls for Biden’s resignation
Greene pointed out the obvious: If President Biden is too cognitively impaired to run a reelection campaign, how can he run the country?
“And if Joe Biden is mentally unfit to run for reelection — which, as you know, is why Democrats and billionaire oligarchs are pressuring him to resign — he should resign immediately,” she said.
The National Review editorial board is again calling for Joe Biden to resign.
“Biden should take the next logical step and resign from the presidency,” the editorial board wrote.
“One can imagine a president who cannot campaign but can still perform official duties, say, if he has a serious physical disability,” the column continued. “And one can imagine a president who can serve six more months but not more than four and a half years.”
“But that scenario doesn’t apply to Biden.”
Anyone with eyes and ears knows that the president is unfit to run the country. But should Biden resign?
Next up is Kamala, who, as you know, was completely crushed by Biden and had to drop out of the Democratic primary. The Democrats don’t have much depth here.
