According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund are currently pursuing the signing of Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
Dortmund have held internal talks and have now decided to sign the England international on loan.
The Bundesliga side distanced themselves from a potential deal earlier this week, saying Rashford is not manager Nouri Sahin’s preferred target.
The estimated cost for the forward is reportedly listed as being higher than Dortmund’s means, even including subsidies.
Now that stance appears to have changed, but AC Milan are also very specific about their interest and are actively trying to sign Rashford directly.
Rashford’s camp has held talks with several European clubs this month to explore negotiating terms.
Manchester United’s preference is thought to be a straight-forward loan move if Rashford is allowed to leave Old Trafford.
Rashford has once again been left out of the Premier League matchday squad for the visit to Southampton on Thursday night.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was asked after last weekend’s FA Cup third round tie against Arsenal whether Rashford had played his last game for the club.
Amorim said, “I don’t know. I’ll take a look.”
