Liverpool’s list of centre-back candidates appears to have been whittled down once again.
Daily Mirror reporter David Anderson reports on X (formerly Twitter) that Marc Guehi is the latest Euro squad player to be ruled out as a possible summer signing.

How good is Mark Gehe?
Credit must be given to Gehi, but he impressed with his performances from the backline throughout the tournament.
Pundit and former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for the 24-year-old ahead of the match against Spain.
“I think Mark Guehi was the most consistent performer from start to finish. He was ridiculous, and again, it was his first tournament. He was great.” The former England international gave a speech. The rest is soccer Podcast.
The statistical profile provided by FBref may not be the best reflection of his true abilities given the nature of his current club, but Oliver Glasner appears to be inspiring a positive cultural change at the South London club.
When does Gehi’s contract expire?
The Eagles star’s current contract expires in the summer of 2026. The centre-back has been at Selhurst Park since 2021.
