Which one do you know? PS5 Pro Games What features the console adds will be a crucial factor in determining whether the $700 mid-generation console that launches on November 7 is worth buying over the base PlayStation 5.
First, it’s important to note that there are no exclusive games or accessories on the PS5 Pro, and that anything released on the PS5 will work on the PS5 Pro. So what exactly do you get with the PS5 Pro?
As with the previous PlayStation 4 Pro, developers will be able to release upgraded versions of their titles to take advantage of the more powerful hardware. If not, all games (including PS4 titles) will be able to take advantage of the “Game Boost” mode, even if they don’t have a custom PS5 Pro version.
This guide covers all the PS5 Pro games confirmed to date by first-party and third-party developers, as well as the specific upgrades that are currently known.
What PS5 Pro game upgrades can we expect?

Unlike the PS4 Pro, which was aimed at the then-burgeoning 4K TV market, the PS5 doesn’t have any particular selling points to speak of. (8K is too far in the future to appeal to the mass market. Will the PS6 Pro have a selling point?)
Instead, it’s touting what PS5 lead architect Mark Cerny calls “the big three”: a larger GPU (graphics processing unit), improved ray tracing, and AI-based upscaling, with the broad goal of combining the higher frame rates of Performance mode without sacrificing the visual quality that Fidelity mode delivers.
Thanks to Digital Foundry’s deep dive into the pre-launch specs, we have a pretty good idea of what all this actually means. For example, don’t expect every game to now deliver 60 frames per second on the PS5 Pro spec, as the CPU/processing speed upgrade is only a 10% bump (compared to a 33% increase on the PS4 Pro over the base PS4). That suggests we can expect more stability than significantly higher frame rates.
But the graphical boost looks pretty big on paper, going from 10.23 teraflops to 33.5 teraflops (though in reality it could be closer to a 45% increase). Ray tracing is said to be 2-3x faster than on the standard PS5. Meanwhile, a custom upscaler using AI machine learning (dubbed PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) could help reach higher resolutions. Finally, there’s supposedly a 1.2GB increase in memory, but that’ll likely be eaten up by the aforementioned ray tracing and upscaler tech.
Ultimately, exactly how developers will utilize the upgraded technology will vary from game to game. With all that in mind, which games will support the PS5 Pro’s new specs, and what do we know about the upgrade ahead of launch?
