The recent Pokémon generation’s interest in cooking continues to manifest itself through actual brand collaborations. World-renowned cookware brand Le Creuset is releasing another colorful Cocotte set following its Pokémon collaboration starting in July. This time, the global limitations of the items have been reduced, and the focus has been on first-generation stars Pikachu and Eevee.
The upcoming collaboration includes more serving tools, including two large mugs and a set of four bowls. This mug has a lovely shape and color modeled after the Monster Ball and Great Ball, and can be used for both drinking and cooking. The set of 4 bowls includes: Two are standard round bowls, one red and one blue, each with a Poké Ball and Great Ball pattern embossed on the base. The other two bowls are a little more special. One is yellow and shaped like Pikachu’s head, and the other is beige and shaped like Eevee’s head. Cookware follows suit, first consisting of a set of two cute mini cocottes. One is yellow ombre with a yellow Pikachu silhouette on the lid, and the other is beige with a cream Eevee silhouette on the lid. Both have a pocket ball pattern that moves along the sides.
It’s essentially a larger 18cm cast iron pot that’s a sleek, black repaint of the yellow cocote from the previous set, with Pikachu’s tail printed on the side and a metallic Pokeball design on the lid handle. But not all new cookware has the same shiny colors as its predecessor. The largest item in this lineup is the 22cm ‘Signature Round’ Cocote with Pikachu’s silhouette embossed on the lid. There is no kettle this time, but the running Pikachu silhouette from the last set kettle returns in a stylish gray 20cm enamel set on a steel casserole pot.
