The most hostess! Lady Byrd Café owner Misty Mansouri is gearing up for the holidays, and to celebrate, she shared some festive holiday party essentials with ET.
First of all, Mansouri believes it’s best to serve easy and delicious dishes, and he follows this approach at his Los Angeles, California-based restaurant.
“Visitors can expect sophisticated, comfort food using beautiful, fresh ingredients to create simple yet delicious and delicious dishes,” she says.
Must-haves: “Short ribs over mashed potatoes, steak frites, seafood risotto, heart-warming soups and chicken Milanese are seasonal favorites.”
When it comes to decor, Mansouri embraces the “more is merrier” mentality.
“We are filled with elaborate Christmas trees, fluorescent lights, traditional color palettes, velvet bows complete with fireplaces and cozy, comfy blankets,” she explains.
Even if you can’t go to a restaurant, you can feel the spirit at home, Mansouri says.
“Choose your dress code and wardrobe to be classy – this is the perfect time to wear fur, beautiful wools and cashmere,” she explains.
Mansouri recommends prioritizing the needs of your party attendees to avoid hosting mistakes.
“It’s going to be a cold winter, so make sure you have a variety of ways to keep your guests warm. You should also offer alternatives to alcoholic beverages, like fun mocktails,” she suggests.
