Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, September 5. According to the trend report, Kyrgyzstan exported 50,173 tonnes of petroleum products to Turkey from January to June 2024, up 60% from 31,358 tonnes in the same period in 2023.
According to the National Statistics Committee, exports amounted to $34.295 million, up 51.9 percent from $22.584 million in the first six months of the previous year. Turkey accounted for the largest share of Kyrgyzstan’s petroleum product exports, while Uzbekistan was the second largest recipient, importing 30,410 tons worth $8.846 million.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 99,133 tonnes of petroleum products worth $64,477,000 in the first half of 2024. The volume increased by 45.9% compared to 67,961 tonnes in the same period in 2023, and the value increased by 40.2% compared to $45,980,000 in the period from January to June 2023.
Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade volume reached $7.6 billion from January to June 2024. This figure is 9.4% higher than the same period in 2023. Of this volume, exports accounted for 16.9%, while imports accounted for 83.1%.
From January to June 2024, Kyrgyzstan’s exports decreased by 3.2% year-on-year, totaling $1.3 billion. The value of goods imported into Kyrgyzstan was $6.3 billion, up 12.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
