Over the years I have been an avid endorser of stunt-based reality shows. The main reason is lack of stamina to perform it. It’s a treat to watch celebrities perform stunts in Khatron Ke Khiladi, the Indian adaptation of Hollywood’s Fear Factor.
This year was the 14th season and all eyes were on a few of the over-hyped contestants on the show and a few over-hyped contestants.
there was Karan Veer Merah That too — a lanky man who put on a great show early in his career. After years of personal and professional setbacks and struggles, he finally entered the world of reality shows.
I remembered him as Vedant Raisinghania from a TV show called Viruddh. Even back then, he was the full package: expressive eyes, detailed acting, and charming screen presence.
But the entertainment industry isn’t easy for some people.
The man, I later read, lived a personal hell during his 20-year career, including two broken marriages, a life-threatening accident, alcoholism, failed shows, no work and bankruptcy.

Underdog stories may be clichés in movies, but they’re also usually fan favorites. Karan Veer Mehra overcame adversity and grabbed the attention of other contestants in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. The underdog won the show in a nearly one-sided contest. How he did it is a case study in itself!
But a bigger test awaited him in Bigg Boss 18. Karan Veer was once again the least hyped contestant on the show. With no promotions, no favors, an extremely inactive PR team and a book of life at his disposal, Karan was waiting to become a victim of the stories being told about him.
Sometimes called ‘nanadveer’, ‘kone kone mein baat karne waala’ or vicious by his makers and sometimes by his housemates as ‘insecure’, ‘jealous’, undeserving, ‘joking’ and ‘not an A-list TV star’, Karan is all was my favorite person. punching bag. But his strength lies in handling every curve ball thrown at him with utmost grace and innocent smile. This will show how life experiences have refined him as a person.
Even at his lowest, Karan consumed almost 50% of the screen time in every episode. This percentage only increased when he revealed his more confrontational side, up to 80-85%.
Karan Veer Mehra has slowly but steadily made Bigg Boss ‘The Karan Veer Mehra Show’ this season. I don’t say it, but Farah Khan and the audience do.

An actor who rarely played the main character in TV programs gradually became a celebrity. star of the season. His humor, laughter, loyalty, intelligence, humility, self-awareness and emotional quotient warmed everyone’s hearts.
That doesn’t mean the person is perfect. And he never claimed to be so. Stories about him are often made about his reluctance to invest energy in issues or conversations he deems trivial, and his knack for blurting out things that sound like low-level manipulation or gaslighting. But despite this, he is at the epicenter of every mud, every fight, every joke and every gossip inside and outside the house. His breakfast routine and morning monologues also find screen space in every episode. So do the various forms of his ‘Happy Happy’ dance.
At this point, I can’t help but realize. How things have changed… This season’s underdog has risen like a phoenix from the ashes of an unfulfilled past. He outshined everyone else in the house. It was simply his brilliant wit, impeccable sense of humor, and towering personality that kept him from getting into petty fights or frivolous displays of physical strength.
Karan Veer Mehra had no massive fandom to boast about, no young, sexy looks to make girls drool, and no backing from the social media army. But this man now rules the hearts and minds of the people. The entire internet.
The neutrality of his fandom lies in the fact that if he falters at any point, he is criticized by his own fans. The generosity of his character is evidenced by how firmly the entire TV industry wants him to win.
Karan Veer Mehra displayed every aspect of his character in the show – wit, bromance, romance, friendship, competition, tears, laughter, sense of humour, frustration, comebacks, leadership and sportsmanship. He has a rare gift of gab, wears his heart on his sleeve, looks and dances like a dream, tries to stay fit at 45, and never hesitates to accept his flaws.
But… is that enough to win the show? Well, not really. This season swerves in its own dark way. The fake narrative took away the fairness of a show that was previously meant to showcase personality. Bigg Boss 18 was nothing but a biased showreel of ‘Samikaran’.

so, Will we allow the underdog to take center stage? Can this underdog make history by winning two of the biggest reality shows on Indian TV in one year? Maybe not. But can they stop him from outshine Radla? no!
Today, on Karan Veer Mehra’s birthday, we hope the best man wins according to the makers and the audience as he stands on the precipice of creating history. As for him – whether he is or not, he has already gained a lot of love and a huge fan base that he always dreamed of.
In any case, the trophy is secondary to what awaits Karan Veer Mehra after the show ends. Because whenever he comes out of the Bigg Boss 18 house, and as his newfound fandom can vouch for, he will have the last laugh… and the industry will certainly not laugh at him..! IYKYK 😉
