Kaleena came into the chat and told them to take her name off! Kaleena Harper is speaking out after her former bandmate Dawn Richard filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Harper made her stance clear and addressed the new lawsuit in a statement she released on Instagram.
like firm Former Danity Kane and Diddy Dirty Money member Dawn Richards has reportedly filed a lawsuit against her former boss Diddy. This lawsuit adds to a long list of lawsuits against the disgraced music mogul. In the latest lawsuit, filed on September 10, Richards accuses Diddy of sexual assault and inhumane treatment. In addition to the mistreatment she has received, Richards claims she witnessed the abuse endured by Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura and Kim Porter. You may recall that Ventura accused Combs of sexual assault and abuse back in 2023.
Richards’ lawsuit also mentions her former Diddy Dirty Money groupmate Kaleena Harper. The Richards member claims Harper witnessed the same abuse Richards claims. However, TMZ reports that Harper made it clear that her experiences do not match Richards’ claims.
In a statement, Harper said she was aware of the lawsuit, which mentions her name more than 30 times. Still, she made it clear that Richards was not speaking on her behalf.
“I acknowledge that my name was mentioned 33 times in the lawsuit recently filed by Dawn Richard. While I fully respect Dawn’s right to share her experiences, I want to emphasize that her story reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth that applies to everyone,” she wrote.
She did not outright deny Richard’s claims, but she made it clear that some of the events recounted in the lawsuit were different from what she remembered.
“Many of the allegations and incidents described in this lawsuit do not represent my experience, and some are inconsistent with my truth,” she said.
Harper, who is under the care of her husband Tony Harper, also explicitly denied witnessing any crimes committed by Combs.
“Tony and I have always acted with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. We have never engaged in, nor are we aware of, any conduct that could be considered abusive or illegal,” she said.
Didi responds to Dunn Richards lawsuit
Didi has filed several lawsuits since Ventura’s 2023 lawsuit, but this particular case required a public statement from Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolf.
“Ms. Combs is shocked and dismayed by this lawsuit. In an attempt to rewrite history, Don Richards has now made up a series of false claims, all in the hopes of getting paid, that conveniently coincided with her album release and press tour. If Ms. Richards had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to work directly with Combs for Dirty Money, would not have returned for the 2020 Making the Band reboot, and would not have agreed to appear on The Love Album last year. It is unfortunate that Mr. Richards threw away a 20-year friendship to get money from him, but Ms. Combs confidently stands up for the truth and looks forward to proving it in court.”
Combs has yet to issue a statement on Harper’s comments.
