After an overall disappointing season, Manchester United will need reinforcements across the pitch. However, to avoid breaking profit and sustainability rules, clubs should first focus on moving players.
INEOS is on a mission to sort out wage bills and a number of high earners have already opened their doors and many more are expected to come forward as part of a planned summer clean-up.
Players who spent last season on loan are also set to be sold, along with Mason Greenwood’s future, and are the subject of constant rumors with many clubs eyeing the academy graduate.
The England international shone during his temporary spell at Getafe, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. For his efforts, he emerged as the club’s second top scorer while winning the Player of the Year award.

The 22-year-old prefers to remain at Madrid, but United are seeking a permanent solution and have demanded a price tag of €50 million for him.
Both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have tried to sign him in a swap deal, but recent reports suggest that Juventus have emerged as a new prospect.
Now the highly respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested that the player’s entourage give priority to the Old Lady on personal terms already agreed.
The Turin-based outfit are unlikely to match the price United are asking, but they plan to offer bonuses in excess of the €30 million initial fee that INEOS may find acceptable.
“Juventus, which returns to the Champions League next season, is also considering strengthening not only the midfield but also the attack. They are looking at another Premier League footballer, Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.
Juventus agrees personal terms
“The demands of the Red Devils are very high. The price tag starts at $50 million. However, in recent hours there have been new contacts with the entourage of the footballer, who puts Juventus first.
“The Bianconeri have blocked the player who agreed on personal terms and they hope to be able to define the deal in the coming weeks by setting up negotiations with the bonus fixed at $30 million,” he added.
Before the deal goes through, Juve will need to sell either Federico Chiesa or Matthias Soule to raise enough capital to pull off this incredible deal.
United will be delighted if they can finally get their controversial strike underway and move on to another sale with the transfer window just days away from opening.
