June Shannon continues to mourn.
Earlier this week, the longtime reality star paid tribute to her late daughter Anna, nearly a year after she passed away from cancer.
“It will be one year on Monday. We miss Anna Marie Cardwell so much. I would give my last penny to talk to her and have her be here for her daughters.” June wrote on Facebook in December. 9, mentions Anna’s daughters Kaitlyn and Kylee.
She added to this message:
“Grief (hurts) randomly and honestly.”
Shannon also said she couldn’t control herself from “crying,” “getting angry,” or acting like everything was okay when she was “dying inside.”
The mother-of-four, who faced backlash for the way she exploited Anna’s death, went on to reveal that her daughter’s death had been “so difficult” for her and her whole family.
“But we must and will keep our promise to take her with us (wherever) she wants,” she said.
Anna’s phone number remains in June’s family text chat, she told her followers.
According to June, the people she loves “can’t and won’t delete any texts and will never take her out of the chat,” her post concluded:
“I always go on her TikTok and watch her videos all the time, and I search her name to see all the (videos) people have made for her.”
Everything is so, so sad.
Anna died at the age of 29 after battling stage 4 cancer.
“It is with saddened hearts that we announce that @annamarie35 is no longer with us,” June released a statement about his death in December.
“She passed away peacefully at our home last night at 11:12 p.m. She had a tremendous fight for 10 months and she passed away with her family by her side. We will update you with more information as we get it today.”
The late mother left behind two daughters. Kaitlyn, 12 years old; and Kylie, 8 years old.
After she passed away, all of Anna’s siblings shared personal tributes to her on social media.
For example, Alana wrote, “Last night we all let Anna know that it was okay to surround her with love.”
“Unfortunately, around 11pm Anna took her last breath. Anna suffered so much last night but as a family we all know she is now at peace. I am truly heartbroken and don’t know what to say.
“It hasn’t been easy watching my 29-year-old sister battle this terrible disease over the past year. Anna was and still is a fighter.”
