Judge releases evidence in Trump federal election interference case

The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s federal election interference proceedings has released nearly 1,900 pages of heavily redacted evidence that Special Counsel Jack Smith assembled to support his case against the former president. Trump’s legal team opposed the release before next month’s election, but the judge said withholding the information from the public could itself constitute election interference.
