John “Bones” Jones defeated Stipe Miocic on Saturday to retain his UFC world heavyweight title, and celebrated with a tribute to President-elect Trump, who was at ringside.
Jones landed a spinning back kick to Miocic’s ribs before launching into Trump’s signature dance moment and ending the title fight with a technical knockout. As he danced in the ring, the clearly pro-Trump crowd cheered.

As Jones danced and pointed at Trump, the president-elect smiled and gave a thumbs up.
In his post-game interview with Joe Rogan, Jones gave Trump a heartfelt shout-out.
“Thank you so much to President Donald Trump for being here tonight,” Jones said, as the Madison Square Garden crowd went wild.

Jones then used the crowd’s energy to launch into “USA! USA!” They sang happily together.
Jones added, “I’m proud to be a great American champion. I’m proud to be a Christian American champion.”
After the interview, Jones walked over to where Trump was sitting ringside with Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, son Don Jr., Eric, Kid Rick and Vivek Ramaswami and handed him his UFC title belt. .
Trump invited Jones, who will be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States next year, to the White House.
Jones said there may still be more fights left in him, but Miocic, 42, told Logan his career was over. This earned him a Hall of Fame spot as one of the greatest heavyweights to ever enter the Octagon.
Jones is considered by many to be the greatest player of all time, as he currently holds a record of 28 wins and 1 loss without a single contest.
Trump rode triumphantly into MSG with a star-studded entourage on Saturday night to thunderous applause from fans, just weeks after holding a historic rally inside “the world’s most famous stadium.”
Trump, who competed in the UFC for the first time since he was elected by defeating Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5, received thunderous applause as he entered with his aides.
“If people at home can hear you in this room right now, it’s too loud!” Logan said this on a pay-per-view broadcast as President Trump entered the stadium. “Every time he comes in, it gets louder, but now that he won (the election), he’s president again, oh my!”
The broadcast added that those who could stand inside the stadium were doing so as the video board began playing a video montage of Trump’s arrival. The stadium was filled with chants of “USA! USA!”

Trump witnessed several other great fights on this UFC 309 card, including co-main event winner Charles Oliveira’s unanimous decision victory over Michael Chandler. Chandler is an avid supporter of Trump. After fighting Oliveira for five rounds, he also had a short conversation with Trump after the match.
