Sleepy Joe needs more sleep.
At least, that’s what the sitting president reportedly told Democratic governors on Wednesday.
The president has been desperately trying to boost his approval ratings since his dismal performance in the debate with Donald Trump.
Biden’s performance has been so poor that even the progressive media has begun to argue that he should step down.
At least one sitting congressman has done so, and House Democrats are reportedly preparing to urge Biden as well.
So despite all this and all the questions about Joe’s competence, he told Democratic governors that he needed to get more sleep and would no longer attend events after 8 p.m.

Joe Biden calls for permanent cap
As part of his desperate bid to become a 2024 presidential candidate (and to remain in power), Biden has been talking to allies to assure them he still has the right people.
Biden gathered 20 governors at the White House in a show of force.
According to reports, this did little to allay concerns that Biden could not 1) continue to run the country, 2) successfully run a re-election campaign, and 3) run the country for the next four years.
One White House spokesman pointed a finger at Biden’s behavior. Kevin Munoz said, “George W. Bush went to bed at 9, and Barack Obama made dinner at 6:30. Average presidents balance things out, and Joe Biden is no different. He’s not like Donald Trump, who spends half his day on Truth Social talking about his plans to cause a recession and the other half playing golf.”
With a week left in the debate, Democrats appear to be deadlocked: a stubborn president who doesn’t want to go, and a Democrat who can’t technically make him do it.

Let’s be realistic
This brings up a point I want to make about the presidency: Americans should not treat the president like our greatest celebrity or protector or a mother who tells us how to feel after a local tragedy.
The president is merely an executive. He is the chief bureaucrat. He must execute the laws passed by Congress. That’s all.
But beyond that, Americans need to understand that under the current system, it is virtually impossible to become president. Listen to me.
Do you know how many federal employees there are? At the end of 2022, there were 2.87 million.
I apologize to all the executives, but that organization is too big for an individual to “run”. And that’s just federal employees and bureaucrats.
Now think of the other duties that are now required of the President. We expect one person to not only know every hot spot in the world, but to be an expert. We expect them to be able to “control the money supply” (haha). We expect them to be the commander in chief of millions of soldiers and civilian contractors. We expect them to somehow be experts in the housing market and “solve” the problems in that market.
This is all complete and utter nonsense, and has nothing to do with Joe Biden. It doesn’t matter how many “experts” give the president a 10-minute crash course on any topic. Stephen Hawking was probably the smartest person in history, and he was never smart enough to wield such a massive instrument.
What I’m saying is that we (and by we I mean society as a whole) expect ridiculous amounts of things from one person in the executive suite. impossibleIn economics we call this the knowledge problem, but in the presidency it’s filled with rocket fuel and topped off with a nuclear bomb.
The solution is not to put the “right” person in that position. Better People make a difference. Donald Trump is one of the most popular CEOs of all time, and look what bureaucrats and planners have done during his presidency.
The solution is to stop treating the president like a celebrity babysitter and let the government do its constitutional duty.
