Jane’s Addiction has canceled the remainder of their Imminent Redemption tour just days before they were set to take the stage in Toronto.
The band, whose members were caught on camera punching each other on stage in Boston on Friday, said in a Facebook post that it had “made the difficult decision to take a brief hiatus as a group.”
“Accordingly, they will be canceling the remainder of the tour,” the post continued. “Refunds for the canceled dates will be made at point of purchase.”
In a post on Instagram, guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins said the show was canceled due to “ongoing behavioral and mental health issues” of singer Perry Farrell.
The post continues: “Our concerns for his personal health and safety, as well as our own, leave us with no alternative. We hope he finds the help he needs.”
Jane’s Addiction’s next scheduled show was Wednesday night at Budweiser Gardens in Toronto. It was the only time the group was scheduled to play a Canadian show on their current tour.

Trouble arose for the band on Friday night in Boston, when a video surfaced showing Pharrell walking up to Navarro mid-song, shoving him and swinging an elbow at his shocked bandmate.
As the lights on the show dimmed, other people quickly rushed in and separated the two.
Farrell’s wife took to Instagram on Saturday to explain what happened the night before.
“There was definitely a lot of tension and animosity between the members. That’s the magic that made the band dynamic. Well, then the dynamite went off. Perry got up in Dave’s face and did a body check,” Eti Lau Farrell wrote.
She said her husband was annoyed because he thought the band was playing too loudly and drowning out his own voice.
“The band started the song Ocean and counted out before Perry was ready,” she shared. “The stage volume was so loud that Perry couldn’t hear over the boom and the vibrations of the instruments, and by the end of the song, she wasn’t singing, she was just screaming, hoping to be heard.”
She also claimed that after the lights went out, bassist Eric Avery put her husband in a headlock and punched him repeatedly.
The band was scheduled to perform in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Sunday night, but Jane’s Addiction announced Saturday that they were canceling the show.
On Sunday, Navarro posted a photo of himself with an upside-down guitar with “Jane’s Addiction” written on it and simply “Good Night” next to it, leading to speculation that he had quit the band.
It is uncertain when they will return to the stage.
The tour, which is Jane’s Addiction’s first in 14 years, began in August and had 15 shows remaining, including a show in Toronto on Wednesday.
The group formed in the mid-1980s and developed a cult following in the alternative music scene.
