Filming a new Lifetime movie My husband passed gas. It was a difficult and therapeutic experience. Jana Kramer.
“I told the head of Lifetime that I wanted to do something in the domestic violence area and that I could shine a light on it,” Kramer, 40, said during the Monday, June 3 episode of his “Whine Down” podcast. . “And when this happened I thought, ‘Wow, this is pretty much consistent with what’s happening now.’”
My husband passed gas. It was inspired by a true story. morgan and Rodney MetzerPlayed by Kramer Austin Nichols, respectively, in the movie. Rodney becomes the prime suspect after a masked intruder attacks Morgan, which causes him to question their entire relationship. (The real Rodney pleaded guilty to kidnapping and aggravated assault for the 2021 attack and faces 70 years in prison, 25 of which will be spent in prison, according to Fox News.)
After initially worrying that the film’s story might be too difficult to experience, Kramer said she was encouraged to take on the film with the help of her therapist and Morgan. Kramer also noted that she “couldn’t have done it” without Nichols, 44, who previously co-starred with her. One Tree Hill.
In the podcast, Kramer recalled filming a difficult scene in which Nichols’ character attacks her by putting a pillowcase over her face. “If someone could get on top of me and have sex with me and I felt like I couldn’t get up, I would go into full panic attack mode. Because my body remembers the first abuser who climbed on top of me. “I couldn’t move,” she explained.
Kramer recalled that he couldn’t breathe while filming the scene. This is because ‘a situation of being strangled to death again’ occurred. “She was screaming so loudly that I called ‘cut’ because I couldn’t get her breath,” she said. And she had to take it out because she took it off her head and just lost it, and then her whole body came back into place, so she had to take five.”
Kramer said Nichols was “the only person I felt safe with” during difficult moments and was eventually able to “take my power back.”
Kramer is currently engaged to a Scottish football coach. alan russell, did not name the abuser in Monday’s podcast. However, she previously revealed that she suffered domestic violence from her late ex-husband. Michael Gambino.
My ex-husband and I were married for less than a year in 2004. Not long after their 2005 split, Gambino was convicted of attempted premeditated murder and served five years in prison before being released on parole. He committed suicide in 2012.
Unlike the film’s attack scene, Kramer said he felt like “a weight had been lifted” off his shoulders after filming the scene where Morgan addresses Rodney in court, an opportunity he “never got”. He said.
“I thought, ‘But let me replay in my head what I would have said to the abuser on the stand,'” she told listeners. “I mean, they kept every emotion, every part of it, and they probably did. I walked away and I remembered what my therapist said, where she said, ‘You need to take your power back, bury it.’
