The 2024 Summer Olympics are finally here, and no one is more excited than Jade Carey’s parents.
Okay, Jade and her real teammates. ~I think Get a little more excited.
But gymnastics trainers Brian Carey and Danielle Mitchell-Greenberg will be watching with bated breath.
Jade Carey’s Path to Olympic Glory
According to Distractify, Jade started gymnastics when she was two years old.
Competing in the Olympics has been her biggest dream since childhood.
And Jade achieved that goal when she won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for her floor exercise routine.
Now Jade wants to help Team USA recapture its 2012 and 2016 glory by winning gold in the team all-around event.
And she knows her biggest fans will be rooting for her.

“She’s fully prepared and she’s proven herself to be an all-rounder. It’s a great opportunity to take her a little further in the sport,” Danielle said. AZ Central July 2020.
“I just want her to walk healthy and happy. It doesn’t matter whether she wins a medal or not. Either way, I’m proud of her.”
Jade Carey’s parents say she has been eating, sleeping and exercising since she was 24 and healthy enough to walk.
“She’s been preparing for this moment for a long time,” Daniel said.
“She’s very smart about how she approaches it. I think if she can just do what she always does, she’ll be fine.”
Jade Carey’s parents are divorced, but both are deeply invested in her career.
Her mother couldn’t travel to Tokyo in 2020, but her father was there to support her.
“It’s really nice that she can bring her dad (to Japan),” Danielle said. AZ Central At that time.
“He supported her through (every) situation, no matter what happened. My philosophy from the beginning was that I wanted her to love the sport on her own. Her dad and I never pushed her.
“We let her guide the ship all the way. We didn’t talk about gymnastics at home. She was able to really progress the way she wanted to.”
Jade Gets Advice from Two Gymnastics Experts
Brian not only cheered Jade on in Tokyo, but also offered advice and help to help her assess the situation correctly.
After falling and injuring herself, she had to switch to a different vault routine.
“I told her if she didn’t jump right away, she might not be able to walk,” he told AZ Daily.
With gymnastics legend Simone Biles in top form, expectations are high for Team USA.
Clearly Jade is hoping she won’t fall this time.
But at least she knows that no matter what happens, she can count on the support of her fans, teammates, and loving parents.
