Oh, and it looks like we’ll be seeing more new faces in The Witcher season 4, as the actor behind Vesemir has reportedly been replaced as well.
We’ve known for quite some time (two years, in fact) that when The Witcher Season 4 premieres sometime next year, it will be Liam Hemsworth, not Henry Cavill, who will play the one and only Geralt of Rivia. It was a choice that didn’t exactly sit well with fans, as many people really liked Cavill’s performance in the titular Witcher. But hey ho, what can you do? Since then, most of the cast appears to have remained the same and some new talent has joined as new characters for the upcoming season, but according to Redanian Intelligence, there is one other character who has been recast: Geralt’s mentor Vesemir.

The outlet reports that Vesemir will return as the character for Season 4, but Kim Bodnia, the actress who has played him so far, will not be returning to play him. It’s unclear why this recast occurred and it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Redanian Intelligence also doesn’t know who will be playing the role, so we’ll likely have to wait for confirmation from Netflix/ a trailer comes out revealing who it is.
The Witcher 4’s cast and release date status may be revealed, but it won’t be long until we see Geralt again. A new clip from the animated film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep was released last month, and along with it, a delay was confirmed, but the specific release date was February 11, 2025. It’s a good thing it’s coming out so soon. , who knows when The Witcher 4 will come out? (Hint: it may take some time).
