Milan rivals Inter and AC Milan are set to meet in the Supercoppa Italiana final on Monday evening.
Holders Inter will be seeking a fourth successive win in the competition, while the Rossoneri aim to equal level with their city foes on eight Super Cup titles.
Both teams secured their place in the finals with semi-final wins. Inter comfortably beat Atalanta 2-0 through a goal from Denzel Dumfries, giving Milan the win. Juventus 2-1 matchup under new coach Sergio Conceição.
Entering the derby match, Inter is in top form, having won five consecutive league games. However, Milan have struggled in recent months, falling 13 points behind their rivals in the Serie A standings. The Rossoneri’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are also in jeopardy.
