There is no room for change on that date, and there are no intermediate dates either: profile lock (January 3) and automatic migration to Azure Front Door blocked (January 6). Microsoft recommended that customers complete the migration from the Edgio platform to Azure CDN by January 7, 2025 to avoid service interruption.
However, “if you have services running on Azure CDN on Edgio on January 7, 2025, and you haven’t communicated your plans to us… We will attempt to migrate your services to Azure Front Door on January 7th. , 2025. We plan to perform the migration to Azure Front Door on a ‘best effort’ basis, and doing so may result in issues related to billing, functionality, availability, and/or performance that you currently use with Azure CDN. “Ezio.”
That said, it’s best to do your homework and handle the migration from Edgio to another platform on Azure CDN yourself to avoid any problems. Microsoft has already published guidance on this.
