The 26-man squad includes new signing Dave Ewers, the return of JD Schickering and former Blitzbox star Sako Makata, who has joined from Griquas.
Center Luhan Nel, who has regained his health, was also named to the team.
DHL Stormers will begin their Vodacom United Rugby Championship campaign with a three-week tour, taking them to Europe to face the Ospreys, Zebre Parma and Edinburgh.
John Dobson said the training matches would provide an opportunity to simulate the intensity of a competitive match while carefully managing the workload of the athletes taking part.
“We’ve had a great pre-season ahead of the tour starting next week and this training match against a quality Pumas team was the perfect way to end it.
“Once we get this session over with we can then focus on starting our campaign from the front in Wales next week,” he said.
